Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2023 Lexus UX 250h- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the CURT two inch trailer hitch receiver on a 2023 Lexus UX 250h. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed and it is an exposed cross tube, but it sits pretty nicely. You can see a good portion of the hitch and it does go around the exhaust pipe. But overall, the way that the car sits, unless you're looking directly at it, it's really gonna be hard to see because you have this nice diffuser that keeps it nice and tidy. So really the only thing super visible is gonna be the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening and that's really nice for a hitch normally with this class rating, you're kind of limited with an 1 1/4, but to be able to have a two inch hitch is awesome. That means that you're gonna have a lot of options when it comes to bike racks, cargo carriers, or even a ball mount. more

Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2018 Lexus GX 460- Video

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2018 Lexus GX 460. Now, this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your Lexus. And this is a pretty simple one. It just simply bolts up directly to weld nuts that are there, which is great, and that allows our 2-inch-by-2-inch receiver tube opening to be in a nice spot. You don't have to trim any of the fascia to get this in place. And being the standard 2-inch-by-2-inch size means that you're gonna have a ton of accessories to be able to choose and load up. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2016 Lexus NX 200, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt class three trailer hitch receiver. Personally, if I had a Lexus NX 200 and was looking for a trailer hitch, probably my biggest thought would be how it's going to look on the back of my SUV. And to be honest with you, this one don't look too bad, even though it is completely visible. For the most part, you can really see the cross tubes kind of along the sides, but they do kind of run back and blend in a little bit, but it's not going to take away from the looks of Lexus all that much. And honestly, I think it being visible does have a positive trade off and that's how easy it's going to be to use the receiver tube is going to come out a little ways and be in the open.So whenever you do want to take off or put on your accessories, it's going to be really easy to get to. more

Today in your 2013 Lexus GS 350, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you, how to install Draw-Tite's one and a quarter inch trailer hitch receiver, and this is what our hitch is going to look like when it's installed. It's completely hidden behind the bumper for our cross tube, so you only see the receivers sticking out the back here. There is some small trimming that does need to be made in order for it to stick through, but once you've done so, it looks pretty good. Now it is going to sit right below the bumper, but the cross tube shoots back a little bit, so the main thing we see is the receiver tube and the cross tube's just going to be kinda hidden underneath the bottom here.Now with it's a class three hitch, which means it's going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, so we're going to have the biggest variety of options when it comes to accessories. Whether we want to free up some space on the inside, we can put a cargo carrier, put all that gear on the outside of our Lexus, or if we want to go on a trip and take some bikes with us, you can put a bike rack in here, or if we tow a trailer, we can use a ball mount. This is going to be a class III hitch. As you can see, the receiver tube is noticeable, but it's nice and tucked in underneath the vehicle, and it's not going to be as noticeable as some of the other ones that kind of stick out a little bit farther. Keep in mind, if it does happen to be noticed, it is a round tube design so it's going to fit nicely with the contour of the vehicle.Again, this is going to be a class III hitch. It's going to be a 2 inch by 2 inch. It's going to have a nice reinforced collar with a rounded edge, give you a little extra stability on the receiver tube. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Lexus RX 450h, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class III Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C13282.Here we can see our Curt hitch installed on our Lexus, and the nice thing about this is it is going to be mainly hidden. It's going to be very minimal, and it's not going to be distracting from the looks on our Lexus.It is going to have that 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening, which means we're going to have a ton of options for accessories that we can mount. So if you have a small trailer, you get a ball mount, or if you need to transport a few bikes, a bike rack, or maybe you're taking the family on a trip and you need a cargo carrier for that extra space.The hitch is going to be tucked up nicely right to the back of the fascia, and we can see it's pretty even from the side. So we're not going to have to worry about hitting our leg on it if we're walking behind our Lexus, or if we're loading something in the back.Our Curt hitch is going to have a loop style safety chain connection point. It's going to be welded to the bottom of the receiver tube. And as you can see, we're going to have a decent amount of room to get most sized hooks on or off without worrying about binding up, or the limited space.As far as how we're going to mount all of our accessories, this is a Class III, so it's going to take a standard 5/8ths pin and clip. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Lexus IS350, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt class one custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number C11372.Here's what our current hitch looks like fully installed on our Lexus. It is going to sit right below the bumper, and the cross tube is going to be visible, but it's going to sit back far enough that it's not going to be a big distraction against our Lexus. It is a class one hitch, which means it's going to be great for some light duty towing, a bike rack, or even a cargo carrier; especially if you are trying to carry a bike rack and you don't want to deal with the hassle of putting a roof rack on, or possibly mounting a truck mount to your car, potentially damaging the finish.It's going to make it a lot easier to transport those items without having to lift them up onto the roof, or again, putting them on the back of your truck, to be able to mount a bike rack, and to add that extra space for the cargo carrier, freeing up space inside of our car.Since it is a class one, it is going to give us that inch and a quarter by inch and quarter receiver tube opening. The way we're going to mount all those accessories is through the half inch pinhole on the side here; and the pinning clip are included in the kit, which is always a nice added bonus.As far as the safety chain connection points, we're going to have a plate style that's welded to the bottom. The safety chain loops. As you can see, it is going to have a little bit of a flange, but we shouldn't have too much trouble getting most size hooks on or off. more

Now here's what our hitch is gonna look like installed on the vehicle as you can see we're not really modifying the rear appearance all that much. Just gonna have our receiver tube opening here, you see that rounded reinforcement collar and the safety chain connection points really all we're gonna see.This is a class three hitch, it's gonna make it very versatile bike racks, cargo carriers, ball mounts, whatever the need you might have this is gonna be the right decision. If they make an accessory in hitches it's probably gonna come in a class three variety. Now to hold those things in place we'll have two holes here on the side of the hitch, you want to use the one located closest to the front of the vehicle, it's gonna be the larger hole, it's five-eighths of an inch in diameter and you want to choose class three accessories for it. We're just gonna have the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening and the reinforcement collar there that'll be really visible behind the vehicle, the rest of the cross tube remains completely hidden behind the rear fascia so we can maintain that nice look of the RX 350. Another thing I like about the appearance of the hitch is that it doesn't really stick way out here on the back of the vehicle, it's nice, close to the rear of the vehicle, doesn't hang out past the rear edge of the bumper, never have to worry about running into it or anything like that.This is a class three hitch, that's gonna make it extremely versatile whether it's bike racks, cargo carriers, ball mounts that you need, just about any type of hitch accessory they make probably comes in a class three variety. See there are two holes in the hitch, we always want to use the larger one, the one that's gonna be closer to the front of the vehicle. That's five-eighths of an inch in diameter and there's gonna be a good amount of room around there for whatever style pin or maybe locking hitch pin or even anti-rattle device that you'd want to use. The rear hole you're only gonna use that with the J pin stabilization system which is just one form of anti-rattle device.Now when you are towing a trailer we do have safety chain connection points here. more

The first thing you'll notice about this hitch is that we have plenty of clearance around our receiver opening, making this an ideal hitch to use with bike racks and cargo carriers. You'll find our industry-standard 5/8" diameter hitch pinhole to secure any of our hitching mounted accessories. You can pick up a pin and clip on our website, as part number PZ3.Welded onto the bottom of our receiver and the frame of our hitch you'll find our plates, which have our safety chain loops to attach the safety chains from our trailer.
